Style, technology and performance revealed

Audi has released its latest masterpiece – the new generation Q5 Sportback. Equipped with the best technology and impressive performance in a refined, sporty manner, this sophisticated coupe poses a serious challenge to the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. Let’s dig into what makes this model stand out.

  • The new Q5 Sportback is based on the PPC platform
  • Later versions feature Audi’s “Digital Stage” OLED screen
  • Top-spec SQ6 Sportback comes with a 362-horsepower V6 petrol engine

Fashionable sports design

The redesigned Q5 Sportback’s styling contrasts with, but is not identical to, the Q5 family’s front styling. It has a unique coupe body shape thanks to its sloping roofline and overhanging rear spoiler. At the rear of the car, a single through-type OLED taillight creates a futuristic look, while the silver two-tone bumper creates a sporty appeal. Not only are they beautiful, they also help improve aerodynamics, as the same elements achieve the perfect combination of elegance and functionality.

Luxurious, technologically advanced interior

  • 11. 9-inch digital instrument panel
  • 14. 5-inch infotainment touchscreen

In terms of convenience, in addition to the option to use the 10.9-inch touch screen, there is also the option for front-seat passengers to use it as part of the high-end experience. Cabin materials are top-notch in class, including soft-touch high-end leather upholstery and high-tech ambient lighting that creates a cocoon-like effect and lends an upscale ambience.

Enhanced performance and ride comfort

The Q5 Sportback extends Advanced Platform Combustion (PPC) to provide improved handling and ride comfort. Reinforced steel springs and passive dampers provide a smooth ride, and optional air suspension further rounds out all features by matching road conditions in real time.

Will it come to India?

Meanwhile, the “previous-generation” Q5 is sold in India by German carmaker Audi, along with the smaller Q3 Sportback. There has been no announcement about the launch of the new Q5 Sportback in India. However, if that happens, it will compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe to provide discerning Indian luxury SUV enthusiasts with an attractive and capable alternative.
