In November 2024, Maruti Suzuki continued to dominate the market, overtaking rivals such as Hyundai, Tata Motors and Mahindra. Its car sales were 141,000 units, down 11.5% from 160,000 units during the October holiday period. However, compared to the same period last year, the company reported growth of 5.3%. Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki’s stable monthly sales performance demonstrates its strong market presence in different scenarios. It underlines its leadership position in the highly competitive Indian automotive market. Last month, the company launched the much-anticipated Dzire Facelift in India, priced between Rs 6.79 lakh and Rs 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom).

The car is available in four models (LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+) and seven colors to choose from (Blue Black, Arctic White, Heroic Red, Brilliant Silver, Nutmeg Brown, Magma Gray and Seductive Blue). It now comes with a new 1.2-litre Z-series naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine, which is available with either a five-speed manual gearbox or an AMT gearbox.

Hyundai Motor sold more than 48,246 vehicles in November 2024, maintaining its second position on the list. Compared with the 49,451 units sold in November last year, this was a year-on-year decrease of 2.4%. In addition, the month-on-month decrease was 13.2%. Hyundai India’s model range includes Ioniq 5 EV, Grand i10 Nios, i20, sporty i20 N Line, Aura, Verna, Tucson, Alcazar, Creta, Creta N Line and Exter. For those who don’t know, Tucson recently received a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP.
Tata Motors
Tata Motors ranked third on the sales list in November 2024, selling 47,063 vehicles. Although the company’s sales fell slightly by 2.2% in October, it still achieved positive growth of 2.2% year-on-year. This solid performance underscores Tata Motors’ strong market presence and steady demand for its vehicles.
Mahindra
Mahindra fell from the third position in October 2024 to the fourth position in November. There were 46,222 units, a strong year-on-year growth of 15.6%. However, sales fell 15.2% sequentially.
toyota
In November 2024, Toyota sales were 25,183 vehicles, a 10.5% decrease from October sales. Compared to November 2023, it was up 48.8%, the highest year-over-year increase of any automaker on this list.
