Mercedes-AMG has launched the SL 63-based PureSpeed as the first model in the Mythos series, a new series of special edition cars. This unique model distinguishes itself from the AMG SL Roadster by adopting a series of striking modifications to its exterior. These include highly aggressive aerodynamic upgrades that set the tone for its performance-focused design. The familiar AMG Panamericana grille is replaced by a striking shark-nose design, which is highlighted by the prominent central air intake and dynamic sides. The AMG logo is prominently located on the lower edge of the front bumper. Additionally, the hood is carefully sculpted with additional vents to optimize airflow and cooling.

PureSpeed ditches the traditional roof. It replaces the A-pillars and windshield with a cutting-edge wind deflector located in front of the cockpit. A Formula 1-inspired “halo” bar bisecting the cockpit is also part of the design. Other notable features include 21-inch forged aluminum wheels and a retractable rear spoiler. Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed: What else?
This exclusive version features a red and black livery that pays homage to the legendary 192 Mercedes-Benz Targa Florio, with the iconic #10 emblazoned on the fenders. However, customers can opt for a matte silver color. Inside, the AMG Performance seats are finished in finely crafted leather and feature custom stitching. The door sills are finished in premium leather, while a two-tone leather steering wheel adds a touch of sophistication.
A custom IWC Schaffhausen analog watch mounted on the dashboard completes the interior. Each PureSpeed comes with a pair of custom-made helmets and an integrated intercom system that allows for seamless communication between the two occupants while driving.
