The TVS Apache RTX adventure bike is expected to be powered by the new 299cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled RT-XD4 engine, which has a flatter torque curve than the engine on the Apache RTR 310.
A spy video that partially reveals TVS’ first adventure (ADV) bike has surfaced online and it looks like the model may use the new RT-XD4 engine that was launched at the recently concluded TVS MotoSoul 2024. The adventure bike is expected to be called RTX, which is the new name for the patented 2023 TVS Apache series of motorcycles. It is expected to launch sometime in 2025.
The test mule spotted appears to be equipped with 19-inch front alloy wheels and 17-inch rear alloy wheels shod with road tyres. An off-road variant with a 21/17-inch wheel combination may be launched later. One can also see inverted forks at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear with long-travel suspension. The spy video also shows the disc brake setup. In terms of chassis, the upcoming road-going ADV will use a grid unit. In terms of styling, the semi-streamlined ADV from the Hosur brand has a high visor, large fuel tank, beak-style front fenders and a stylish rear. The riding position is a combination of a reclining seat, wide handlebars and mid-mounted footpegs. Upon arrival, the bike will be equipped with a rear top box as shown in the video.

TVS Apache RTX: Engine
Powering the upcoming TVS ADV is likely to be a new 299cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled RT-XD4 that produces 35bhp at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission. Unlike the motors on the Apache RR 310 and Apache RTR 310, the RT-XD4 (with drive-by-wire technology) engine has a flatter torque curve, making it ideal for off-roading.
