Sales analysis of Renault and Nissan in November 2024 – Magnite, Triber,

Both Nissan and Renault saw serious month-on-month sales declines in November 2024, although Renault showed strong year-on-year growth

Demand for Nissan and Renault models increased as a result of higher festive sales through October 2024, but declined through November 2024. Most car manufacturers in India are witnessing this trend. Although most automakers have announced price increases starting early next year, year-end purchases have failed to take off.

Nissan India sales fell by 5% in November 2024. Magnite sales were 2,342 units, down from 2,454 units in November 2023. Month-on-month sales also dropped 25% from 3,119 units in October 2024. On the other hand, Renault’s sales also fell by 25%. Sales in November 2024 increased by 15% year-on-year, from 2,452 units sold to 2,811 units in the same month last year. However, it was down 27% month-on-month. During the festive period in October 2024, 3,870 units have been sold.

Nissan Sales November 2024

Nissan Magnite sold 2,343 units last month. There is also the X-Trail, 2 of which have been sold in October 2024, marking a 100% decline. The 2024 X-Trail was launched in September this year, eight years after the earlier model was discontinued. Sales have dropped to 0 units in November 2024, most likely because it is a CBU model and priced higher.

Nissan has now announced that introductory pricing for the Magnite is ending. Although the new Magnite introduces several feature and security updates, its price remains the same as the earlier version. New pricing may increase by 2-5%, but the date of this price increase has not been disclosed.

Renault sales in November 2024

The Renault Triber is the highest-selling model in the company’s portfolio, with sales of 1,486 units in November 2024. This is a 13% year-over-year increase from the 1,312 units sold in November 2023. However, month-on-month sales were down 30% from the 2,111 units sold in October 2024. Kiger ranked second with sales of 779 units, a significant year-on-year increase of 47%. Despite a significant month-on-month sales decline, 530 units were still sold in November 2023. Kiger sales fell from 1,053 units in October 2024.

Renault Kwid sales also fell to 546 units year-on-year and month-on-month. This is down 10% year-on-year and 23% month-on-month from the 610 units and 706 units sold in November 2023 and October 2024, respectively. Although it is only expected to be launched in 2026, the Kwid’s sales are likely to improve with plans for the new electric car. The company has also just revealed the 2025 Renault Duster. It is scheduled to launch sometime next year. Tests in India have also begun.
