3 new compact SUVs coming soon

Compact SUV breaks sales record in India. These vehicles are popular for their practicality, ease of maneuverability and affordability. Buyers now have options across a variety of price ranges in the compact SUV segment, with three new models set to join the ranks early next year. Skoda will launch the all-new Kylaq, Kia will launch a new premium sub-4 meter SUV – Syros, Mahindra & Mahindra aims to strengthen its position in the electric vehicle segment with a new mass market product – XUV 3XO EV.

Skoda Kailac

Skoda Auto has revealed its prices and details New Kylaq subcompact SUV Targeting the Indian market. However, its deliveries are scheduled to begin on January 27, 2025. The subcompact SUV is available in four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature+ and Prestige, priced between Rs 7.89 lakh and Rs 13.35 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). The Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which is available with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The setup is claimed to deliver a power output of 115bhp and 178Nm of torque. Buyers can choose from seven colors. Skoda has equipped the Kylaq with several features including a sunroof, wireless mobile phone charger, auto-dimming IRVM, artificial leather upholstery and more.

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV will directly compete with Tata Nexon.ev. The electric vehicle is expected to feature a 35kWh battery pack and electric motor. Its exact specifications and range have not yet been revealed. Spy photos show, XUV 3XO electric vehicle It will feature a uniquely designed front grille with a larger central air intake, EV-specific badging, new alloy wheels and other EV-specific design elements. Its interior will be very similar to the ICE version, with most of the features inherited from the petrol-powered XUV 3XO.

Kia Silos

The Kia Syros small SUV will be officially unveiled on December 19, 2024. The model will make its public debut in January 2025 at the Bharat Mobile Expo, where the carmaker will also announce its pricing. The official trailer revealed some of its key features, including a segment-first panoramic sunroof and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). this Syros There will also be a wireless phone charger, floating touchscreen infotainment system, USB ports, engine start/stop button, connected car technology, power and ventilated front seats, tire pressure monitoring system and more. This compact SUV has a boxy and upright stance. In terms of engines, the new Kia Syros is expected to offer two options: a 1.0L turbo gasoline engine and a 1.5L diesel engine.
