The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an outstanding event on the motoring calendar held every summer at the picturesque Goodwood Estate in southern England. It brings together some of the world’s finest cars and most accomplished drivers to celebrate speed, power, drivability and a shared passion for all things automotive.
However, the attractions are not chosen at random. They follow a central theme that changes every year. Last week, organizers announced that the 2025 theme will be “The Winning Formula – Champions and Challengers.”
The new theme coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Formula One World Championship and promises an impressive showcase of historic F1 cars.
Organizers say the 2025 festival will be the biggest F1 showcase since it was launched more than two decades ago, with appearances by drivers, team members and other notable F1 figures past and present.
Celebrations will also take place across other motorsport series, including the World Constructors’ Championship, which celebrates its centenary next year, and the Gordon Bennett Cup and Millennium Trial, which celebrates its 125th anniversary.
A giant sculpture, described as the “central feature”, will also be on display. Created by artist Gerry Judah, these sculptures are often several stories high and are the focal point of the festival.
More details about the attraction are expected to be announced in January.
Early bird tickets for the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed are now on sale. The event will be held from July 10th to 13th.
