Maruti Fronx off-road version debuts as Sea Bass Night Game

Fronx Off-Road Edition – Sea Bass Night Game Concept

Since the Fronx Off-Road Edition is just here to make a cool impression in the form of the Sea Bass Night Game Concept, it will remain mechanically stock

Since the launch of the Fronx, Maruti Suzuki has firmly expanded its sub-4m SUV portfolio and firmly established its dominance with the Brezza. The Fronx is also a global car and has been a major export from India. Suzuki Global has just launched the off-road version of the Fronx in the form of the Sea Bass Night Game Concept.

This isn’t exactly an off-road-oriented version in terms of mechanical upgrades and features. Instead, Suzuki showed off a range of accessories at the Tokyo Auto Salon to give it an off-road vibe, including the Swift Sport ZC33S Final Edition, WagonR Smile European Antique Concept, Solio, Solio Bandit and New Gen Spacia Gear.

Maruti Fronx off-road version

Based on the Baleno premium hatchback, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is a crossover SUV that adheres to the sub-4m length limit. It has a sloping coupe roofline and a squat stance that looks sporty and sporty. Some people (including me) consider the Fronx to be the most beautiful car Maruti Suzuki has ever made.

An off-road version of the car has just debuted in the form of the Sea Bass Night Game Concept. Suzuki plans to display the car at its pavilion at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Ahead of the reveal, Suzuki released photos of the Fronx Sea Bass night game concept.

First off, the car comes in a lovely paint job, with a predominantly black color scheme and splashes of lime green here and there. We can see lime green accents on the grille, fake skid plates, front and rear wheel arch cladding and even fake rock sliders. There is a lime green triangle pattern on the rear side glass.

We can see a large Fronx decal on the side at the back. Interestingly, all of the car’s body cladding appears to have some sort of Raptor coating, which looks pretty solid. The pillars, grille and bonnet are eye-catching with their shiny black accents. The concept also features off-road wheels wrapped in Yokohama rubber. The rear wheel is painted in lime green, which feels good in the hand.

Speaking of good details, we saved the best ones for last. There’s a very attractive and functional roof box up top, finished in the same livery. It even gets a Fronx badge in a lime green hue. There are also LED floodlights installed on the roof, which remind us of the Mercedes G-Class 4X4 Squared.

Will it start?

The main aim behind the Fronx Sea Bass Night Game concept is to make a cool impression at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Looking at the car, we’d say its coolness is on point and it’s likely to attract a lot of eyeballs at the Tokyo Auto Salon, which will be held at Makuhari Messe in Japan from January 10 to 12, 2025. The probability of launch is extremely small.
