The 2025 Tata Tiago and Tigor will also be powered by a 1.2L 3-cylinder NA petrol engine that also uses twin-cylinder i-CNG technology

Tata Motors has been one of the leading manufacturers in the budget and economy cars segment. The company has made significant contributions in this price range with the Indica and Indigo, Indica Vista and Indigo Manza, Bolt and Zest, Tiago and Tigor hatchback and sedan combinations.

The current versions of the Tiago and Tigor duo will soon be updated to bring them in line with what rivals offer. The company may launch the updated Tiago and Tigor in January or February 2025. Therefore, we can expect the Tiago and Tigor duo to receive system updates in terms of functionality, creature comforts, and technology.

Currently, Tiago and Tigor are first-generation facelift versions. Tata launched the Tiago and Tigor facelift in January 2020, a little less than 5 years ago. Tata Motors confirmed at a recent investor meeting that both the cars will receive mid-cycle refreshes and are expected to be launched in 2025.

The company may launch updated versions of Tiago and Tigor in January 2025 or early February 2025. 5 years have passed since the last update in January 2020. The updates are expected to bring much-needed features and creature comforts to keep up with the updates and features – awash with competition. This will help Tata Motors increase sales in the coming year.

The word “updated” looms large here, as there’s no sign of a “facelift” test mule yet. Tata Motors has a history of updating its vehicles with new and improved features and technology without redesigning the exterior. Updated versions of the Punch and Nexon due in 2024, with added features and creature comforts, are clear examples of this strategy.

what happens?

On the outside, we can expect new colors, darker tints for the headlights and taillights, new alloy wheels, and other changes. The main changes are likely to be focused on the interior. First of all, we expect the 2025 Tata Tiago and Tigor to come with rear AC vents and feature a front center armrest. The same changes are expected to come to the 2025 Tiago EV and 2025 Tigor EV.

Upgrading the infotainment system is an area that Tiago and Tigor need to work on. Tata is likely to offer a 10.2-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. We can also expect a wireless charging pad, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, and even a single-pane sunroof. Tata Motors is likely to implement a unified trim structure with the 2025 Tiago and 2025 Tigor.

As a result, the current trim lineup (including XE, XM, XT and XZ) will likely be replaced by the Pure, Adventure, Achievement and Creative trims (or roles). The same 1.2L NA petrol engine with twin-cylinder i-CNG will be carried over. The 2025 Tata Tiago will compete with the fourth-generation Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS. The 2025 Tata Tigor will compete with the Hyundai Aura, the fourth-generation Maruti Dzire and the just-launched third-generation Honda Amaze.
