Tesla Cybertruck explodes outside Trump hotel, killing one

A Tesla Cybertruck exploded and caught fire while parked outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, killing one person and injuring at least seven others. Local authorities and the FBI are investigating the incident but do not believe there is any further threat to locals.

The electric pickup truck exploded shortly after it was parked in front of the hotel lobby. CCTV footage shared with X captured the devastating explosion. In the video, fire can be seen engulfing the Tesla, with the explosion appearing to set off several fireworks.

Several videos have also circulated online showing the aftermath of the explosion and subsequent fire. ABC News reported that police were investigating whether the explosion could have been an act of terrorism. Tesla driver killed.

One person who witnessed the explosion and fire said they saw the Tesla park in the lobby and then “lower down like a bus.”

“My husband and I were literally standing where the luggage was in the shot. I just saw it pull up and then lower like a bus and then rumble away. It looked like fireworks or something at first, But then I immediately feared for our lives, thought it could be a bomb, and ran away,” they wrote on X.

In a post on his social media company, Elon Musk said, “Tesla’s senior team is currently investigating this matter. We will release more information as soon as we learn anything. We have never seen anything like this.” ”

Donald Trump has yet to comment on the incident, but his son Eric Trump thanked local authorities for their quick response.

“Earlier today, an electric vehicle fire was reported on Trump’s porch in Las Vegas,” he said. “The safety and well-being of our guests and employees remains our top priority. We are deeply grateful to the Las Vegas Fire Department and local law enforcement for their quick response and professionalism.”
