
JWS MG Motor India has launched the upcoming M9 luxury electric MPV ahead of its official launch at the Bharat Mobile Expo 2025. The event will start on the 17thth to 22ND January in New Delhi. The automaker will also display Cyberster sports carwhich will be the first to be sold through MG Select’s premium dealerships in India. The MG M9 will be released in March 2025. The electric luxury MPV is expected to be priced at Rs 65 lakh and will compete with the new Kia Carnival which comes only with a diesel engine.
MG M9: Range, Battery
MG’s new electric MPV uses a 90kWh lithium-ion battery pack and is expected to have a range of 430 kilometers (WLTP cycle) on a single charge. The electric motor is claimed to deliver 245bhp and 350Nm of torque. The length, width and height of the M9 are 5,270mm, 2,000mm, and 1,840mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3,200mm. This makes it significantly larger than the Kia Carnival (5,155mm long, 1,995mm wide, 1,775mm tall).
MG M9: Functional Description
This premium electric MPV is packed with advanced features including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, 12-speaker JBL sound system, power-adjustable front seats, Multiple USB ports in all rows of seats, 220V power sockets for second-row passengers, 64-color ambient lighting, three-zone automatic climate control and power sliding doors and tailgate.

For added comfort, the automaker has equipped the M9 with power front and rear seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions, a rear entertainment screen, fold-down footrest seats, dual sunroofs, a power sliding rear door and Nappa leather seats Chair interior. Rear seat passengers get gray privacy glass.
MG M9: Safety features
In terms of safety, the M9 is equipped with a 360-degree panoramic camera, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring system, adaptive cruise control, etc.
MG M9: Design details
The M9 electric MPV has a suitably boxy stance, with a signature front grille, LED headlights with chrome bezels, and an upright front end with a full-width LED light bar with turn indicators at each corner. It also features a faux air dam with sensors and license plate in the lower part of the rear bumper, vertically stacked taillights connected by an LED light bar, and a chrome-enclosed rear bumper.
