Top 5 SUVs under Rs 30 lakh at Bharat Mobility Global Expo


Several new SUV models will be launched on the ice this year along with the electric vehicle segment in the Indian market

The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 witnessed the unveiling of several new SUV models that will be launched in the Indian market soon. Major car brands such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia and Mahindra introduced the latest versions of their SUVs at the event. While electric cars dominate auto shows with Maruti Suzuki’s first-ever electric car and Hyundai’s first mass-market electric SUV, the ICE SUV also made a mark at Auto Expo 2025. 30 Lakhs was showcased at the Auto Expo.

1. kia syros

The Kia Syros will go on sale in the Indian market next month and will be launched in the Indian market on February 1, making its public debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Comes with several best features such as rear seat slide, recliner, and ventilation.

Based on Kia’s enhanced K1 platform, it features 1 ADAS Tech with 16 automatic safety features. Mechanically, it comes in petrol and diesel fuel trims, with 1.0L turbo GDI and 1.5L CRDI engines respectively. The SUV will be available in four standard and two option trims, namely HTK, HTK(O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+ and HTX+(O).

2. Maruti Suzuki and Vitara

The Maruti E Vitara, sitting on the Heartect-E electric vehicle platform, made its India premiere at the Auto Expo 2025. The ride rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and comes with two battery options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The range has a range of more than 500 kilometers on a single charge.

The feature list could also be improved ahead of time and includes a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, sliding and reclining rear seats, Suzuki Connect 60+ features, glass sunroof, 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster, 7-seater safety Airbags and Level 2 ADAS Tech. It will be manufactured locally in India at the company’s factory in Gujarat while being exported to more than 100 global markets including Japan and Europe.

3. HyundaiCreta EV

Hyundai Motor has chosen Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 to launch its first mass electric SUV in the form of CRETA EV. It is available in five trim levels Executive, Smart, Smart(O), Premium and Excellence LR, priced between Rs 179-2349 crore (ex-showroom) in the Indian market.

Hyundai Creta EV comes in two battery options in the form of 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh, which can be fully charged at a speed of 390 km and 473 km respectively. Based on the ice-powered CRETA SUV, it comes with several class-leading features such as 6-bounce Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) with auto-fixing, Electric Stability Control (ESC), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), SmartSense Level 2 ADA, advanced climate control, payload (V2L) and modern blue link connectivity.

4. Tata Seraphim

Tata Sierra was unveiled in pre-production guise at the 2025 Auto Expo. Surprisingly, it will be launched later this year with 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol and 2.0L diesel engines. It rides on 19-inch tires and draws design inspiration from the vintage Sierra.

Inside the cabin, it receives three 12.3-inch screens for the digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system and front passenger information console. The Tata Sierra is expected to return in four-seat and five-seat configurations. It will also have a fully electric variant, which will be launched this year.

5. Toyota City Cruiser EV

An identical twin of the Maruti E-Vitara, the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV was unveiled at the recent Auto Expo in New Delhi. It has been confirmed to launch in India in the second half of 2025. Dimensions, design and features will be shared with the E Vitara. It will get the same 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs as the E Vitara with almost the same driving range.

Maruti Suzuki will offer city cruiser electric cars to Toyota like Taisor and Rumion. The City Cruiser will directly compete with the Hyundai Cretra Electric and the Tata Harrier Electric in the Indian market. It is expected to start at over Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
