Audi has added two new models to its electric car range – the A6 e-tron and the higher-performance S6 e-tron. Both models are based on the new PPE (Premium Platform Electric) architecture, which is also used by the Audi Q6 e-Tron and the new Porsche Macan. As expected, the new Audi A6 e-tron uses split headlights, but they are located below the LED daytime running lights. The latter are configurable, while the former are adaptive matrix beams.
The front of the A6 e-tron is further accentuated by the trapezoidal grille in body color and the sculpted bumper with character lines. On the other hand, the bumper of the S6 e-tron adds a bit of sportiness. On the sides, the A6 e-tron has flush door handles instead of the traditional door handles on the Q6 e-tron. Audi says the A6 e-tron is the most aerodynamic Audi model ever, with the Sportback version having a drag coefficient of just 0.21. Speaking of which, the model is available in two body styles: Sportback and Avant.

At the same time, the low-slung Avant version has a drag coefficient of 0.24, which is one of the best in its class. Aerodynamically optimized elements also include standard 19-inch wheels and compact exterior mirrors. The S6 e-tron comes with 20-inch wheels as standard. At the rear, there is a large tailgate with customizable OLED taillights. The tailgate also features a striking diffuser. Unlike the Q6 e-tron, the Audi A6 e-tron comes with an illuminated four-ring Audi badge.
2025 Audi A6 e-tron: Interior
Inside, the new Audi A6 e-tron is very similar to the Q6 e-tron. It has a large curved panel that houses a 14.5-inch infotainment system and an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, as well as a 10.9-inch display for the front passenger. There is also an optional augmented reality head-up display (AR HuD) and an AI-enabled Audi assistant. Another thing worth mentioning is the ambient light strip around the dashboard, which also doubles as a charging indicator and turn signal.
Other features include a panoramic glass roof (with switchable transparency), a square steering wheel, a power tailgate, a 20-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system and 236 litres of cargo space. Instead of a traditional gear lever, the model uses a new drive selector toggle switch. Safety equipment includes a 360-degree camera and an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite.
2025 Audi A6 e-tron: Powertrain
The new Audi A6 e-tron is available in three configurations – a base rear-wheel drive (RWD) system with 282 hp, a high-performance RWD with 362 hp, and a top-of-the-line Quattro AWD with 422 hp. The S6 e-tron will feature a single Quattro AWD setup with 543 hp (with launch control).
The top-of-the-line A6 e-tron can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km/h, while the S6 e-tron takes 3.7 seconds to reach 100 km/h. The latter has a top speed of 240 km/h. Except for the base A6 e-tron RWD, which uses an 83 kWh battery, all other models are powered by a larger 100 kWh battery pack, with a range of 647-756 km.
With an 800V electrical architecture, the maximum power can reach 270kW, and the 100kWh battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes. Onboard AC charging up to 11 kW is available, and a 22 kW AC charging option will be available later.
