MotoGP: Here are the anniversary liveries released by each team

As the summer holidays come to an end, MotoGP returns to Silverstone to celebrate 75 years of history. For the first time, each motorcycle and each rider will feature a unique retro-style livery. Eleven teams, including the factory squad, revealed their retro livery schemes, highlighting key moments in their history. To immerse fans, the BMW M Safety Car, podium celebrations and other elements will feature nostalgic themes. Special events throughout the weekend will ensure an unforgettable experience for all attendees. Silverstone will be the place to be for fans eager to witness speed, style and 75 years of unrivalled racing. Here’s what the teams revealed.

KTM Korea

KTM is harking back to days gone by with a striking white and blue livery that pays homage to the iconic 1988 KTM Single Racer. This retro design adds a touch of class to the modern MotoGP circuit.

Tech3 Natural Gas Natural Gas

MotoGP Tech3 GasGas retro livery

Tech3 GasGas will be launching a modified version of the Reto KTM design in white and blue.

Yamaha

MotoGP Yamaha retro livery

Yamaha has unveiled a redesigned livery for the M1, featuring the iconic ‘speed block’ design. Made famous by World Champion Giacomo Agostini during his heyday in the 1970s, the design pays homage to the legendary rider while adding a unique aesthetic to this modern motorcycle.

Aprilia

MotoGP Aprilia retro livery

Aprilia has chosen a stylish black and grey livery to honour its ambassador Max Biaggi. The colour scheme is a tribute to Biaggi’s reign in the 250cc class from 1994 to 1996, when he won multiple titles with an Aprilia.

Circuit racing

MotoGP Trackhouse Racing Retro Livery

Trackhouse Racing pays tribute to the legends of American motorcycle racing by displaying the likenesses of 11 Grand Prix champions on their motorcycles. Icons such as Kenny Roberts, Randy Mamola, Kevin Schwantz and Nicky Hayden will be forever featured on the machines, showcasing the team’s deep-rooted pride in its American heritage.

Honda

MotoGP Honda retro livery

Honda has made a bold change to their retro livery, taking inspiration from the iconic NS500. This legendary machine helped Freddie Spencer win his first premier class championship in 1983, and Honda’s latest iteration aims to capture the same spirit of innovation and domination.

LCR Honda

MotoGP LCR Honda retro livery

LCR Honda added a splash of colour to the British Grand Prix with two unique liveries. Johann Zarco paid tribute to the legendary Mike Hailwood with a white and green racer, while Takaaki Nakagami represented Japan on a motorcycle adorned in Japanese colours.

Ducati

MotoGP Ducati retro livery

Ducati’s livery is a nostalgic one, very similar to the iconic red, white and black colour scheme that marked its return to top-level racing in 2003.

Virtual Reality 46

MotoGP VR46 retro paint

The VR46 Racing Team has unveiled a new livery featuring a striking blue base with bold yellow accents. This colour scheme is a direct nod to the helmet worn by the team’s iconic founder Valentino Rossi during the 2018 MotoGP season.

Gresini

MotoGP livery

Gresini Racing has paid a heartfelt tribute to its founder, Fausto Gresini, with a replica of the iconic white livery of the 125cc motorcycle that won the championship in 1985 and 1987. To further honour his legacy, one of Gresini’s historic race bikes will be on display in the pits.

Pramak

MotoGP Pramac retro livery

Pramac Racing and team principal Paolo Campinoti pay tribute to legendary world champion Angel Nieto. Driver Jorge Martin will wear a special helmet during the race weekend.
