The concept of Loder1899 draws inspiration from the car in the remake of “Thomas Crown Affair”

- The Loder1899 introduces a solid Mustang concept inspired by Thomas Crown’s cars.
- The open top model has suspension, flesh-colored tires and a rolling rod lined with auxiliary lights.
- If the company sees a enthusiastic reaction, Pony Automobile may be engaged in limited production.
Off-road-inspired models appeal to consumers, and we’re not just talking about trucks and SUVs. There are a handful of rugged sports cars in recent years, including the Porsche 911 Dakar and the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato.
German aftermarket Loder1899 now proposes another in the form of a modified Shelby GT350. Inspired by a car Thomas Crown Remake, this concept has increased ride height and unique wheels and is wrapped in meaty Bfgoodrich all-terrain T/A tires. They are added with round fenders and auxiliary lights.

The open pony car also features Recaro seats, rollers and unique rear deck cover. The latter is equipped with a spare tire which is secured in place by a belt.
While the car is technically a concept, Top Gear quoted Maximilian Loder as saying: “We believe this concept car will inspire enthusiasts. If the response is positive, we will put it into production.”
Although the Loder doesn’t mention performance specs, the 2025 Shelby GT350 has a familiar 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 480 hp (358 kW/487 PS). However, customers can add a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger to increase the output to 810 hp (604 kW / 821 PS). The factory can be paired with automatic and manual transmissions and production limits are 526 units. The supercharged version starts at $109,999, including the cost of the car.
Of course, for production, Loder may be able to base the model on the Mustang Dark Horse. If this happens, customers can find a 5.0-liter V8 that pumps out 500 hp (373 kW/507 PS) and 418 lb-ft (566 nm) of torque.
