Black Desert Resort, Utah
The much-anticipated $2 billion Black Desert Resort Expected to be the largest resort in Utah at more than 600 acres, Black Desert Resort will feature a Resort Center, Golf Village and Family Village, all of which will be fully completed in the first quarter of 2025. The Resort Center will open in the fall and will be close to Snow Canyon, Angels Landing and other nearby state parks in the Greater Zion area.
The resort will include 791 hotel rooms, more than 600 luxury residences, five restaurants, a 15,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, an amphitheater with more than 1,000 seats, etc. The resort will also feature one of the largest golf courses in Utah, a 19-hole, 7,400-yard course that cuts through a lava bed and will be used to host a PGA Tour championship in the fall.
Black Desert Resort will also offer 45,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space spread across 18 meeting and event venues. The largest space can accommodate up to 1,200 attendees and offers amenities such as wellness services, advanced technology support, a variety of catering menus and professional event planning services.
Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort
After a $115 million renovation, Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch will debut Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort In early October 2024, the first Grand Hyatt hotel in Arizona opens. Residential-style luxury cabanas and king/queen rooms will be combined with new dining concepts, including La Zozzona, a modern Italian steakhouse, and a new 10-acre pool complex with expanded cabanas. Groups can enjoy pampering at the new Spa Avania and outdoor recreation via bike trails and a 27-hole championship golf course. Tennis and pickleball are also available.
Additionally, Grand Hyatt Scottsdale will unveil its fully renovated existing meeting space in October, including renovations to the 14,000-square-foot Vaquero Ballroom and the remaining 52,000 square feet of existing indoor/outdoor function space. The resort’s grand Arizona Ballroom will also see an increase in meeting and event capabilities when it debuts in January 2025. Upon completion, the Arizona Ballroom will nearly triple in size to 24,000 square feet, bringing the total indoor/outdoor function space to 90,000 square feet.
Cooper (Charleston)
Joe Riley Waterfront Park is adjacent to Charleston Peninsula. Cooper The Charleston Marriott will be the first waterfront five-star hotel in downtown Charleston and will feature a private marina with a fleet of luxury yachts and a large passenger yacht, as well as four new waterfront dining experiences. Overlooking the Cooper River, the 209-room hotel is inspired by its French Quarter surroundings. Set to open in July 2025, the hotel is expected to be a popular destination for Charlestonians and visitors to stroll, shop, dine and more. The hotel will begin accepting group reservations in its 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space on November 1, 2025.
Faro Blanco, Florida Keys
A Florida Keys landmark, known for decades for its iconic lighthouse, is flying a new flag. Hilton Hotels Curio Collection Portfolio, newly renamed Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club Marathon, Curio Collection by Hilton The hotel underwent a $14 million renovation that transformed its accommodations, facilities, meeting spaces and restaurants. Middle button In the city of Marathon, Faro Blanco Resort and Yacht Club, together with its sister hotels, Courtyard by Marriott Faro Blanco Resortlocated on the same property as 1996 Overseas Highway, has a total of 250 rooms.
The 125-room hotel features four outdoor pools, including an infinity pool, and activities such as guided snorkeling and fishing charters, all offered by the resort’s exclusive partner, Faro Blanco Marina, A Suntex Experience. Later in 2024, a new full-service spa will invite guests to indulge in tranquil treatment rooms and receive island-inspired treatments carefully curated from fresh botanicals and marine extracts. In addition, Faro Blanco Resort’s versatile venue features more than 40,000 square feet of redesigned meeting space, including an expansive event lawn and marina-view pool deck.
