Audi has started teasing the Q8 facelift ahead of its launch in India. Unveiled at the Munich Motor Show last year, the Audi Q8 facelift comes with a few new features besides minor cosmetic changes. It is based on the same Volkswagen Group MLB Evo platform as the Q8 e-tron and is an upgraded version of the Audi Q8 that was launched globally in 2018. While the Q8 facelift has been available in international markets for a while now, the Indian market launch will take place on August 22.
According to the teaser, the India-spec Audi Q8 facelift will feature a revised grille and new interior trims, along with HD Matrix LED headlights with high-powered laser diodes. The styling is not expected to change much, except for the new alloy wheels. The rear seems to have digitally connected LED taillights with OLED technology. On the global-spec model, the taillights come with four customizable light designs. The overall silhouette is expected to remain the same as before.
A thrilling performance. Coming soon.

Audi Q8 facelift: interior
Inside, the facelifted Q8 is likely to be very similar to the old model, with Audi only offering new interior trims and color options. Features-wise, we expect the car to come with dual MMI touchscreens, a head-up display, four-zone climate control, electric front seats, multi-color ambient lighting, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and a powered tailgate.
In terms of safety, Audi is likely to equip the upcoming model with ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera, multiple airbags, and ADAS technology.
Audi Q8 facelift: powertrain
Like the global-spec version, the Indian version is expected to use a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol V6 engine mated to a 48V mild-hybrid system. The unit is capable of producing 335 hp and 500 Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The new Audi Q8 will be priced higher than the current version (Rs 1.07 crore to Rs 1.43 crore ex-showroom) due to slight changes in appearance and new features. When launched, it will be positioned as the company’s flagship SUV in India. Its competitors will be the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS.
