The Toyota Sequoia is approaching the 2025 model year with a host of updates, including a new 1794 trim. The absence of this trim is surprising, as the Texas-themed model has been available on the Tundra for more than a decade.

Essentially Toyota’s version of the Ford King Ranch, the Sequoia 1794 is a luxury full-size body-on-frame SUV that starts at $80,135. Priced slightly below the top-of-the-line Capstone, buyers will find it has a flashy exterior with plenty of chrome trim. This model also comes with 20-inch wheels, a panoramic glass roof, and a towing technology package that includes a Wi-Fi trailer camera.

The latter is brand new and is a rechargeable wireless camera that attaches to your trailer. Once paired with your vehicle, it seamlessly transmits a live view of your trailer to your digital rearview mirror or infotainment system.

In terms of interior, the Sequoia 1794 has brown leather front seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions. The second row seats are captain’s chairs with American walnut interior. The model is also equipped with special floor mats, JBL premium audio system and 14-inch infotainment system.
In addition to the new 1794 trim, the 2025 Sequoia also features Mudbath paint that’s exclusive to the TRD Pro. Massaging seats are new, too, and they’re standard on the aforementioned 1794, as well as the Platinum and Capstone.
That seems to be the extent of the changes, with all models using the familiar i-Force Max powertrain. It consists of a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine, a 1.87 kWh nickel-metal hydride battery, and an electric motor that is actually sandwiched between the engine and the ten-speed automatic transmission. This setup gives the model a total output of 437 hp (326 kW / 443 PS) and 583 lb-ft (790 Nm) of torque.
Pricing starts at $62,175, a significant increase from last year’s $61,275. Unfortunately, that increase isn’t set in stone, as the Capstone price has jumped $5,400 from $78,265 to $83,665. The Platinum price has also increased significantly from $73,865 to $79,320.
