The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services will be held from September 12 to 16 at the Beijing National Convention Center and Shougang Park. The theme of this year’s CIFTIS is “Global Services, Mutual Benefits and Sharing” and it will be held through a combination of online and offline services, aiming to create an important platform for expanding opening-up, deepening cooperation and leading innovation.

This year, the trade in services will continue to hold comprehensive exhibitions and special exhibitions. The comprehensive exhibition is located at the National Convention and Exhibition Center in Beijing, with achievement exhibitions, national exhibitions, provincial, regional and municipal exhibitions, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan exhibitions, theme areas, etc. Thematic exhibitions are located in Beijing Shougang Park, including computer and information services, financial services, cultural tourism services, educational services, sports services and other topics. During the exhibition, a global summit on trade in services, exhibitions, negotiations and promotions, results release and supporting activities will also be held.

As a guest country of this year’s CIFTIS, France will set up a national pavilion around the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France and hold a series of activities around themes such as fashion industry, sports, medical care and investment to promote the deepening of cooperation between the two countries. The guest provinces of Sichuan and Hainan will showcase new development achievements such as aerospace satellites, information technology and traditional Chinese medicine, as well as new policies for the development of free trade zones focusing on their advantageous industries.

The World Summit on Trade in Services will continue to be held during CIFTIS, inviting foreign dignitaries and heads of international organizations to attend and speak, exchange policies and experiences, reach consensus on global services cooperation, and jointly promote global economic recovery and growth.

A series of important activities and forums will take place during the 2024 Services Fair. These include:

Global Summit on Trade in Services: This is a high-level meeting attended by representatives from overseas countries and regions, international organizations and renowned enterprises to strengthen exchanges and discussions on policies, standards and rules for trade in services.

Exhibition: The latest achievements in digitalization, intelligence and greening of service trade will be displayed, as well as the latest achievements in regional cooperation, especially those of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and other regions.

Negotiation and promotion: The Service Fair will organize various forms of negotiation and promotion activities to provide enterprises with a platform for communication and cooperation.

Results publication: During the service fair, more than 60 companies and institutions will participate in results publication activities and publish important reports and innovation results.

Supporting activities: including Beijing Fashion Week, integrated cultural, sports, entertainment and shopping activities, as well as organizing investment and investment promotion activities in Beijing, etc., providing participants with rich business inspection and consumption experience.

Thematic Forums: CIFTIS has decided to organize 13 thematic forums, including the Global Summit of Trade in Services Entrepreneurs, the World Conference on Tourism Cooperation and Development, the Capital International Medical Conference, etc. These forums will publish a number of important reports and initiatives.

Special exhibitions: special exhibitions covering telecommunications, computer and information services, financial services, cultural tourism services, educational services, sports services, supply chain and business services, engineering consulting and construction services, health services, environmental services and other fields.
