- The Fulwin T11 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and two electric motors.
- Chinese media said the SUV will have a range of 124 miles (200 kilometers) when running on electric power.
- We think its side profile and two-tone paint job give off Mercedes-Maybach GLS vibes.
New images of Chery’s Fulwin T11 flagship SUV have surfaced online, and with its flashy two-tone paint, chrome trim and massive dimensions, some are calling it a budget Range Rover. And it certainly looks like one – if you look closely and don’t mind omitting a few zeros from the price tag.
It’s not hard to see why the Fengyun T11 has been compared to the Range Rover. The LED headlights and daytime running lights bear obvious resemblance to the Range Rover Sport, but we do think Chery has done a good job of giving this large SUV a unique look. This is particularly evident in the faux grille design, which includes about two dozen silver slats that run vertically upward. Most of the cooling appears to come from the lower grille, which is finished in gloss black and has slats that can be opened and closed.

From the side, the car bears some resemblance to the Range Rover and even the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, but we definitely wouldn’t call it a blatant copy of either of those cars. It has beautiful, tightly-spoked wheels, and the entire upper half of the T11 is adorned with a satin silver finish, while the rest of the body is painted blue. Chrome trim is found on the skirts and window frames.
A pair of sleek taillights connected to a light bar highlight the rear of the T11. The simple black lower bumper and the absence of any visible exhaust pipes also catch the eye.
According to China Automotive News, the T11 will go to market with the company’s C-DM plug-in hybrid powertrain. The system consists of a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 154 horsepower and 162 pound-feet (220 Newton-meters) of torque, and electric motors at the front and rear. The combination of two electric motors, a sizable (and currently unspecified) battery pack, and the 1.5-liter engine will give the T11 a combined range of 870 miles (1,400 kilometers). On electric power alone, it should be able to travel about 124 miles (200 kilometers).
The new model may be unveiled at the Chengdu Auto Show in the coming days.
