A sedan is Hyundai’s second bestseller in the first quarter

On the electric car side, Ioniq 6 sales fell 28%, but Ioniq 5 sales rose 17%

Hyundai continued to laugh in front of spelling typicals when both Elantra and Sonata made a profit last month. The former model is very popular and it is the company’s second best-selling vehicle in the United States.

Elantra sales soared 25% to 14,461 units in March. On the other hand, sonata sales climbed 1% to 5,706 units. This is a bit surprising because sonata has been a hot commodity, with sales rising 20% ​​year by year.

The Ioniq 6 insisted on sedan land, with sales falling 28% to 1,435. The fate of the Ioniq 5 is not similar, as sales jumped 17% to 3,919 units.

Hyundai’s best-selling vehicle last month was Tucson, which grew 28% to 23,631. Boxy Santa Fe is up 25%, while the aging Palisade is still dying among the crowd with young people.

Modern US Sales

That’s not all good news as Kona sales fell 26% this month and year. Santa Cruz also continued to struggle as only 2,924 buyers were found last month, a 13% drop.

Overall, Hyundai sold 87,019 cars in March, an increase of 13%. The company noted that it was their best parade ever and led to “the best total sales for the sixth consecutive month.”

Modern US Sales

In the first quarter, Hyundai sold 203,554 vehicles, a 10% increase from last year and earned a first-quarter record. The company went on to say hybrid sales grew 68%, while electric vehicles were slightly 3%.

While tariffs may soon be hampered, Hyundai North America CEO Randy Parker said: “With our opening of Georgia Metaplant, Georgia, and new $21 billion investment, we are expanding U.S. production, strengthening supply chains, and creating U.S. jobs.
