All-new Bentley Flying Spur debuts with 771 hp hybrid V8 engine

The 2025 Flying Spur is the latest Bentley to feature its renowned ultra-high-performance hybrid powertrain, which combines a 591bhp twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine with a 187bhp electric motor between the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and the engine. This configuration outperforms its W12-powered sibling, with a combined output of an astonishing 771bhp and 1,000Nm, making the new Flying Spur the most powerful Bentley sedan ever.

The four-door sedan is equipped with a 25.9kWh battery and has a pure electric range of 76 kilometers. But the combined range (V8 and electric motor) is 829 kilometers. In terms of performance, the car has an acceleration time of 0-100 km/h of 3.5 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds faster than the previous generation model.

Although Bentley has not officially confirmed it yet, the new Flying Spur is likely to land on Indian shores next year in CBU (completely built vehicle) form and will be priced higher than the previous generation model. Read on for more details.

2025 Bentley Flying Spur: What’s Changing on the Outside?

The new Flying Spur’s exterior is slightly different from its predecessor, but still attractive. It still features the familiar round headlights, but the front bumper now features sharp vents at each corner. Other new elements include a larger grille, 21-inch five-three-spoke alloy wheels, and a diffuser.

The sedan’s interior features include a new diamond stitching pattern on the seats, 3D diamond leather on the doors and B-pillars, and optional Wellness Seating specification for four seats (a first for this car) that automatically adjusts the temperature of each seat and provides posture correction. It also features the famous Bentley rotating display and a 10-speaker 650W sound system (optional Naim 2,200W, 19-speaker system with active bass transducer and 1,500W Bang & Olufsen system).

2025 Bentley Flying Spur: Other highlights

The sedan features four battery-specific modes (Pure EV, Electric Boost, Regenerative Braking, and Charge) that allow the driver to achieve optimal performance. Interestingly, in Charge mode, the gasoline engine helps to replenish the battery while driving the wheels. Furthermore, the battery can be charged in 3 hours at a peak charging capacity of 11kW.

The Flying Spur comes standard with Bentley’s high-performance active chassis, which includes features such as an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, improved ESC software and adaptive suspension with all-wheel steering. It has a rear weight distribution of 51.7% and a front weight distribution of 48.3%.
