The engine details of the India-spec 2025 Renault Duster are not yet known. However, the SUV may only come with a petrol engine. In global markets, the SUV will be available in mild hybrid, full hybrid and LPG fuel options. This powerful hybrid unit, called Hybrid 140, combines a 94bhp, 1.6L petrol engine, a 49bhp electric motor and a high-voltage starter-generator.

The mild-hybrid system pairs a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, producing a combined power output of 130 horsepower. This setup comes standard with a manual gearbox and front-wheel drive, with an all-wheel-drive drivetrain available as an option. In select global markets, the new Duster will also be available with petrol-LPG fuel options.

In India, the new Renault Duster will face competition from mid-size SUVs including Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
