This conference is hosted by the Penang State Government of Malaysia and the Malaysian Semiconductor Industry Association. Join hands with China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam and other countries and regions with significant influence on the world’s semiconductor industry to jointly promote international cooperation and exchanges in the semiconductor industry.
The conference will gather elites of the global integrated circuit industry in the form of “exhibition + forum speech + trade inspection” to jointly review the future development trends of the pan-semiconductor industry and discuss industrial innovation and cooperation.
Malaysia has become a major player in the chip manufacturing industry over the past 50 years. Its semiconductors account for 7% of total global trade and its packaging and testing sector for 13%. Semiconductor exports account for 62% of its total national exports of electronics and electrical products. A quarter of Malaysia’s GDP revenue comes from the semiconductor industry. Thanks to its geographical location, demographic dividend, manufacturing capabilities and rapid economic growth, Malaysia has attracted a large number of international semiconductor manufacturers. Its northern island, Penang, is known as the country’s “Silicon Valley” and is home to major semiconductor manufacturers such as Intel, GlobalFoundries and Infineon.
In recent years, the global semiconductor industry chain has faced certain changes and challenges. The adjustments and policy changes in the semiconductor supply chain in most countries and regions have had a certain impact on the development of the global semiconductor industry. China is the world’s largest semiconductor market. As an indispensable part of the global industrial chain, Chinese semiconductor companies are actively exploring and practicing ways to integrate into the global semiconductor ecosystem – building a supply chain system in line with the international market, optimizing resource allocation, improving production efficiency to meet the global market demand for high-quality semiconductor products. In addition, by strengthening exchanges and cooperation with international enterprises and leveraging the advantages of international semiconductor industry clusters, we will promote the in-depth development of cross-border businesses, create a domestic and international dual circulation market, and achieve more breakthroughs in cultivating the market and integrating into the new development pattern.
Break through barriers and connect the world! The Asia Pacific Semiconductor Summit and Exhibition (APSSE) in Malaysia strives to build a bridge connecting China and foreign countries and seeks common development. With Penang’s key global industrial status, it helps more semiconductor companies better connect with global industrial resources.
Asia Pacific Semiconductor Summit and Expo (APSSE) in Malaysia will hold multiple technology research forums, big names will share speeches and panel discussions, government agency leaders, well-known domestic and foreign business leaders, experts from scientific research institutions, and scholars will be invited to participate in the meeting and provide policy interpretation, industry analysis, technical exchanges, and jointly discuss the structure, trends and development of the semiconductor industry.
