Aston Martin has unveiled a new model, the Vanquish is back again, and the model promises to ‘combine refined comfort, supercar performance and precise dynamics.’ The model is also promised to be an exclusive one, with less than 1,000 units to be produced per year.

Billed as the “most powerful flagship in its 111-year history,” the Vanquish is powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 engine that produces 824 hp (614 kW / 835 PS) and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. It’s linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the rear wheels via an electronic limited-slip rear differential.
This enables the “continent-conquering GT” to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 214 mph (344 km/h). The latter is notable for being “the highest speed ever achieved by an Aston Martin series production car”.
The Vanquish’s performance features aren’t limited to the engine bay, either: it features a bonded aluminum body structure that’s 75 percent more laterally rigid than the DBS 770 Ultimate. The wheelbase has also been lengthened by 3.1 inches (80 mm), while the model gets new Bilstein DTX dampers that debuted on the DB12. Aston Martin says they allow for “significant differentiation between driving modes,” making the car either comfortable or sporty, depending on your mood.

Speaking of the latter, the Vanquish gets larger diameter anti-roll bars, a recalibrated electric power steering system, and a new electronic stability control system. The latter promises to avoid “sudden interventions, using cutting-edge algorithms to predict the optimal grip level while reacting to momentary vehicle instabilities.”
When things get a little tricky, you can count on the carbon-ceramic brake system, which features 16.1-inch (410 mm) front discs and 14.2-inch (360 mm) rear discs. Compared to its predecessor, Aston Martin says the system offers improved braking performance and less fade at temperatures up to 1,472° F (800° C).
