Audi’s electric vehicle lineup continues to expand with the launch of the new Q6 Sportback e-tron and SQ6 Sportback e-tron. They’re stylish crossover coupes that will debut at the Paris Auto Show and arrive in the U.S. next spring or summer.
These models follow in the footsteps of the Q6 and SQ6 e-tron, but follow the tried and true formula pioneered by the Q4 and Q8 Sportback e-tron. As a result, they have a funky windshield that extends all the way to a sportier roof. They are connected by a compact greenhouse and an angled rear window.

In addition to looking more dynamic, the crossover coupe has a lower drag coefficient of 0.26. That’s 0.02 more than the regular model and gives the Sportback a range of up to 408 miles (656 kilometers).
While the crossover coupe remains the same length and wheelbase as the regular model, the Sportback model is 1.5 inches (37 mm) lower in length and wheelbase.

Moving inside, the high-tech interior features an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch infotainment system running Android Automotive OS. In addition to the standard display, customers can also get an augmented reality head-up display and a 10.9-inch front passenger display.
If that’s not fancy enough, ChatGPT has “enhanced” the voice assistant so that it can recognize more than 800 commands. Customers can also opt for a 20-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system with four speakers integrated into the front headrests.
Sustainability-focused designers and clients will find a variety of eco-friendly materials incorporating recycled elements. The headliner, pillars and sun visors are covered in “Draft”, a “fabric made from 100% recycled polyester”. Customers can also get other fabrics made from recycled materials, such as stretchy blends.
While Sportback models aren’t known for their practicality, the latest crossover coupe has a 2.2 cubic feet (64 liters) trunk and cargo room that can hold 18 cubic feet (511 liters) of luggage. By folding the rear seats backwards, the latter area can be expanded to 48.5 cubic feet (1,373 liters).

All models use Premium Platform Electric, with the entry-level Q6 Sportback e-tron equipped with an 83 kWh battery pack and a rear electric motor delivering up to 288 hp (215 kW / 292 PS). This enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 7 seconds and have a range of 339 miles (545 km) on a single charge.
Customers looking for more range and power can upgrade to the Q6 Sportback e-tron performance. It has a larger 100 kWh battery and a more powerful electric motor with up to 322 hp (240 kW / 326 PS). This shortens the sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) to 6.6 seconds, while also increasing the range to 408 miles (656 km).
If you want all-day traction, look no further than the 383 hp (285 kW / 388 hp) Q6 Sportback e-tron quattro. The dual-motor variant accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 5.9 seconds and has a range of up to 395 miles (636 km) between charging stations.
This brings us to the 510 hp (380 kW / 517 PS) SQ6 Sportback e-tron, which can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.3 seconds. The all-wheel-drive crossover has a range of 377 miles (607 km) and a top speed of 143 mph (230 km/h), which is 12 mph (20 km/h) faster than the mainstream version.
When the battery is low, customers can use 225kW, 260kW and 270kW DC fast charging capabilities. They allow the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 22 minutes.
Pricing in Germany starts at €65,900, while UK customers will have to pay £62,475. U.S. pricing will be announced closer to launch, but is expected to represent a premium over the Q6 e-tron’s starting price of $63,800.
