Mercedes-Benz E-Class local production LWB starts before launch Mercedes-Benz has officially started local production of the much-anticipated long wheelbase (LWB) E-Class sedan at its manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune. This marks an important step in the brand's continued commitment to the Indian market, with the new E-Class set to debut on October 9, 2024. The long-wheelbase E-Class sedan has long been the mainstay of Mercedes-Benz's product line in India and is considered the country's most successful luxury business sedan. ZEO targets the sub-2 ton electric vehicle segment, promising extended range, fast charging capabilities, and a host of advanced features for urban logistics and transportation.
