AutoHunter Spotlight: 1965 Chevrolet C10 4-Speed

Featured in automatic hunteris an online auction platform powered by ClassicCars.com, and up for auction is this 1965 Chevrolet C10 Fleetside pickup truck. It had a frame-over restoration in 2023 that included new paint, trim, interior components, and mechanical parts. Power is provided by a 327ci V8 engine and sent to the road through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. This first generation C/K Series truck is finished in burgundy and white with a brown vinyl interior and is now available from the seller with a clear title.

As part of last year’s restoration, the exterior was repainted in burgundy and white and fitted with a new grille, chrome bumpers and side trim. The short bed has plank flooring and a covered tailgate chain link.

Beneath the two-tone bodywork is a set of white 17-inch wheels with chrome center caps and beauty rings, wrapped in 235/60 Firestone radial tires.

The interior of the single cab features a brown vinyl bench seat with quilted padding. Features include a tilt steering column, power steering and a removable center console with USB charging port. During the 2023 restoration, a new wood steering wheel, new rubber door seals, window units, sun visors and carpeting were installed.

Instruments include a 100 mph speedometer, fuel gauge and various warning lights. A pair of automatic gauges below the dash display oil pressure and water temperature. The odometer reads 79,113 miles, but the car’s true mileage is unknown.

Under the hood is a 327ci V8 with twin heads, Edelbrock intake manifold, Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock air cleaner, and dual exhaust systems. The engine is paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. New parts include the radiator and in-line fuel filter.

More new parts were found under this truck, such as the power brakes (discs in the front and drums in the rear, connected to a new master cylinder), brake lines, and wheel bearings.

The seller notes that a rubber gasket is required at the base of the antenna or near the firewall to prevent leakage during car washes, and that the battery is placed on a maintenance charger.

The auction for this 1965 Chevrolet C10 will end on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 11:15 AM PDT.
