The third-generation Challenger was launched in 2008 to compete with sports car rivals Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang. Its exterior design was inspired by the 1970 Challenger R/T, a bold retro move that was praised by the public. The Challenger reignited enthusiasm for muscle cars, a core element of American history.
Assembled in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, the Challenger was only available as a two-door coupe throughout its life. For the 2015 model year, the Challenger received a facelift that included a new grille on all models, halo headlights, LED taillights and functional hood scoops. This Granite Crystal Metallic SRT is unmodified and shows a spotless history: CARFAX reports classify it as single owner, having lived in Illinois ownership since new. An emissions inspection was conducted in June 2023.
In true muscle car fashion, power is a strong point: Power comes from a 6.4-liter SRT HEMI V8 engine mated to a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. The “392” in the car’s name is a nod to the engine’s 392 cubic inches of displacement. Designed by Stellantis’ Street and Racing Technologies (SRT) team, the engine is rated at 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. Dodge said of the Challenger SRT: “Serious street cred runs through its veins, driven by a heart born and raised on the track.”
The window sticker shows an original retail price of $48,385, which includes some optional equipment: Technology Group (adaptive speed control, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, rain-sensitive wipers), TorqueFlite automatic transmission, and remote start system.
It seems you able Have your cake and eat it too. This muscle car will provide you with all the comfort you need for daily driving, but still put a smile on your face when you need to hit the gas hard.
