With new, more affordable models and an expanding dealer network, Bajaj Chetak has become the third best-selling electric scooter in India
As reported earlier, Bajaj has started using new batteries for its Chetak scooters. These batteries increase the range and also help in reducing the price of the Chetak scooters. The latest addition is the Chetak Blue 3202 which is basically a replacement for the mid-range Chetak Urbane model.
Chetak Blue 3202 – What’s new?
The new Chetak Blue 3202 has a better range and is also priced lower. The new Chetak Blue 3202 has a range of 137 kms compared to the 126 km range of the outgoing Urbane model. Users can also save Rs 8,000 as the Chetak Blue 3202 is priced at Rs 1.15 lakh. In comparison, the earlier Urbane model started at Rs 1.23 lakh.
Apart from the increased range, most of the other features have been carried over. The Bajaj Chetak Blue 3202 comes with a full-colour LCD display for glare-free driving. The circular display is designed to present all information in a clear and concise manner. It is designed to ensure clear visibility in both dark and bright environments.
To let people know that their e-scooter is having a positive impact on the planet, the Chetak Blue 3202 comes with a Green Scorecard. Accessible via the Chetak smartphone app, the Green Scorecard displays a variety of useful statistics, such as CO2 reduction and fuel savings. The Chetak Blue 3202 is available in four colours – Matte Bold Grey, Cyber White, Brooklyn Black and Indigo Metallic.

While the range has increased, the 3.2 kWh battery capacity remains the same as before. The Chetak Blue 3202 can be charged in 5 hours and 50 minutes using a 650W onboard charger. With the launch of the new model, Chetak sales will gain further momentum in the coming months. In the first seven months of 2024, Chetak is currently only about 1,300 units behind iQube.
