The Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG bike was launched in July 2024 and has recently achieved 50,000 sales marks on the Indian market. It has three variants: Rs 1,06,268, Rs 1,11,819 and Rs 1,28,449 respectively. All mentioned prices are in the front showroom. Initially, it was introduced in only two states – Gujarat and Maharashtra. Later, it was available nationwide, including the II and III tier towns.

Encouraged by success, the two-wheeler maker is planning to expand the 125 CNG series with a new variant. While there are no official words for the upcoming variants, they will likely be placed at the top of the lineup at a slightly discounted price. Currently, Bajaj has nearly 7,000 CNG fuel stations, which could increase by more than 13,000 in the coming years and nearly 17,000 by 2030.

The Bajaj Freedom 125 has a 125cc single-cylinder engine with 2kg CNG tank. The maximum power of the gasoline engine at 8,000rpm is 9.5bhp and produces 9.7nm at 6,000rpm. The claimed range of the bike is 330 km. Bajaj claims that on CNG the mileage of 125 is 102 km, providing 65 km when running on gasoline. Interestingly, Freedom 125 conducted 11 safety tests, including internal and industry assessments.

The local automaker plans to export Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG bikes in six global markets including Indonesia, Egypt, Colombia, Bangladesh, Tanzania and Peru, after previously building a strong presence in the domestic market.
