In terms of quantity, most of Bajaj sales in February came from 125cc to 200cc motorcycles

The domestic sales of Bajaj two-wheeled models in February 2025 were 1,36,688 units, while 1,61,903 units sold during the corresponding period last year. By percentage, sales fell by -15.57%. The results mirror industry trends, where the two-wheeler sector seems to be experiencing a cyclical tendency. Other two-wheeler manufacturers such as Honda, Heroes Motocorp, Bajaj and Suzuki also reported negative sales growth in February 2025.

Pulsar, Chetak, Platina contributes over 95%

Pulsar Range continues to be the brand’s biggest contributor to domestic sales in February 2025. 87,902 Pulsar bikes were sold this month, contributing 64.31% of Bajaj’s overall sales. However, the annual growth was -21.90%. Sales in the corresponding period last year were 1,12,544 units. The second place on the list is Bajaj Chetak, which accounts for an impressive gain of 57.27%. Chetak and Dominar are the only two products to issue positive growth in February 2025.

Chetak sold 21,420 units in February, compared with 13,620 units sold during the corresponding period last year. The percentage of sales was 15.67%. Another reason to celebrate the Bajaj team is that Chetak is now the best-selling electric scooter in the country. In the electric two-wheeler field, Chetak has a market share of more than 28%. Recent spy shots suggest that Bajaj can introduce a new entry-level version of Chetak. This will help further increase sales.

The third best-selling Bajaj bike in February 2025 is Platina. Sales were 20,923 units, compared with 28,718 units in the corresponding period last year. This is a negative growth of -27.14%. Platina contributed 15.31% to overall sales in February.

The next one on the list is Bajaj CT with sales of 3,369 units. The annual growth was -29.33%, compared with the 4,767 units sold during the corresponding period last year. Bajaj CT contributed 2.46% to overall sales in February 2025. Other Bajaj bikes are relatively small – Avengers (1,316), Free CNG (1,027) and Dominar (731).

Sales performance in segments

In the 75-110CC segment, Bajaj CT and Platina contributed 3,369 and 20,923 units respectively. In the 111-125cc segment, the Pulsar 125 range contributes 53,768 units. This is close to 2/3 of total PULSAR sales in February 2025. BajajFreedom CNG bike sales were 1,027 units, contributing 0.75% of the overall sales. In the 126-150cc segment, Bajaj Pulsar contributed 13,917 units or 10.18% to overall sales.

Move upwards, 151-200cc is also dominated by Pulsar. Sales were 15,970 units, contributing 11.68% of the overall sales. Another bike in this segment is the Avenger 160. Its sales amounted to 1,070 units, contributing 0.78%. In the 201-250cc field, Bajaj Pulsar has sales of 3,802 units. Contribution to overall sales was 2.78%. The other two bikes in the space are 246 and 351 respectively. Arriving at high-end products (351-400cc), Bajaj Dominar’s sales in February 2025 were 380 units. The sales of the PULSARNS400Z is 445 units.
