The annual Bangladesh Fabric Exhibition will be held from late August to early September. The organizer of this international exhibition is.Ministry of Commerce of Bangladesh, the exhibition is located atChina-Bangladesh Friendship Convention and Exhibition Center.This four-day event will bring together tens of thousands of textile professionals.
Bangladesh has a population of 145 million and its market is growing day by day.Textile is the country’s largest export industry, with the fast-growing garments accounting for over 76% of total exports. Bangladesh has become the world’s fourth largest garment exporter after China, the European Union and Turkey.Bangladesh is the largest supplier of cotton T-shirts and the second largest supplier of sweaters and jeans to the EU market.Last year, it was the second largest supplier of cotton pants to the U.S. market.Bangladesh currently has 247 private spinning mills with a production capacity of 5.2 million spindles; 365 weaving mills with a production capacity of 900 million meters of grey cloth.There are also 1.1 billion meters of gray cloth produced with mechanical and semi-mechanized looms and more than 4,000 garment factories employing 4.5 million workers.
