Barrett-Jackson 2025 Scottsdale Opening Weekend

2025 Scottsdale Auctions Coca-Cola Family Day is in full swing on Saturday, January 18, marking the start of nine days of January auctions for the world’s greatest car collections. The day features family-friendly activities for car enthusiasts of all generations, with free admission for children 12 and under.

Throughout the day, guests can get an up-close look at more than 2,000 No Reserve collectible vehicles and hundreds of automotive items, enjoy live music, shop at the exhibitor market, and power their visit at numerous dining options throughout the site.

Local car clubs – including Leadfoot Ladies and a group of students from Phoenix Country Day School – showed up on Saturday to check out all the offerings on the auction site. Another group of local enthusiasts showed off their incredible supercars and hypercars in the Supercar Paddock at BluePrint Engines Midway.

A highlight of the day was Honeywell’s STEM Fest, part of Barrett-Jackson’s Future-Ready initiative. STEM Fest offers an array of science, technology, engineering and math games for kids, as well as interactive displays featuring dinosaur fossils, solar-powered go-karts and other activities. Honeywell demonstrated a large turbofan engine that powered a small wooden aircraft and measured the flight distance. A favorite stop among attendees was the Phoenix Zoo’s exhibit, which features Brazilian three-banded armadillos and other ambassador animals. The Mad Science Show attracts large crowds as Dr. Bones and Professor Boom explain chemical reactions to guests through exciting demonstrations.

In the afternoon, the venue came alive with the Barrett-Jackson Cup Parade, presented by Castrol, as 50 world-class figures walked through the famous auction area in front of all in attendance and watched live. Each building will compete for the coveted ultimate Best of Show award and a $20,000 cash purse. “Barrett-Jackson LIVE” commentator Rick DeBruhl joins Craig Jackson and Barrett-Jackson President Steve Davis to describe each of the incredible builds. Esteemed Barrett-Jackson Cup judges Bobby Alloway and Troy Trepanier will have the week to narrow down the custom aircraft group to the top 5 and Starting Monday, January 20, one will be on display each day at Piper Aircraft’s Southern Showcase.

Fans can vote for their favorite version at Cup.Barrett-Jackson.com. The build with the most votes will be awarded the People’s Choice Award and will be announced on the HISTORY Channel on Saturday, January 26, along with the final Best of Show winner.

The night before the custom-built building went through the neighborhood for the Barrett-Jackson Trophy Parade, the auction house was transformed into a Rock the Block concert featuring Sammy Hagar and friends Michael Anthony, Vic Johnson and Kenny A Starring Ronoff. The high-energy event kicked off with Hagar and friends driving around the block in a 1962 Ford Thunderbird (Lot 1071.1) with members of the legendary Montrose band, including founder and guitarist Ronnie Montrose (the car once belonged to him) also rode in this car. ), bassist Bill Church and drummer Denny Carmassi. Later this week, Thunderbird will return to the block and be sold with no reserve, with a portion of the proceeds going toward suicide prevention.

From the moment you step into the school gate The Westworld scene was buzzing with activity as day two of the 2025 Scottsdale Auction kicked off. Bidders, collectors and car enthusiasts of all ages made their way through the vast grounds to preview the more than 3,000 unreserved collectible cars and automotive items that will move through the world-famous auction starting on Monday, January 20 district.

A highlight for attendees was an up-close look at the five charity vehicles on hand at the auction, with each nominated charity receiving 100% of the hammer price. Another attraction is the northern display area, showcasing a host of highly anticipated supercars and fantasy tender vehicles that will be rolling through the blocks later this week. The first round of the 2025 Fantasy Bidding Game is now open: enter, log in or register and predict the winning bid on Scottsdale Auction vehicle selections to compete for the 2025 grand prize – the all-new Dodge Durango.

Custom aircraft competing in the Barrett-Jackson Cup competition were on display in the South Showcase hosted by Piper Aircraft, giving attendees the opportunity to view and vote online for their favorite to win the People’s Choice Award. The People’s Choice Award winner will be announced on Saturday, January 25, along with the eventual Best in Show winner.

Guests also enjoyed Scottsdale’s signature sunny weather while exploring the BluePrint Engines Midway, enjoying live music from Lacey Rashea on the live music stage hosted by the Arizona Lottery, and taking in all the beautiful Collector cars. The Monster Energy BMX Show had a great crowd throughout the day as professional riders performed tricks and soared through the air while fans cheered them on.
