The fourth generation of the X3 introduces a completely redesigned design. The grille is noticeably larger and paired with stylish LED headlights featuring a redesigned DRL pattern. The front bumper displays sharp lines, aggressive angles and ample air intakes, emphasizing its bold aesthetic. While the side profile is somewhat similar to the outgoing model, a closer look reveals soft contours and flush-mounted door handles, giving it a more streamlined and minimalist appearance. Its exterior updates are further enhanced by new alloy wheel designs. The changes at the rear of the car are very eye-catching. The new split LED taillights adopt a Y-shaped light logo. The license plate has been relocated from the tailgate to the bumper, adding to the modern rear design.

New BMW X3: Powertrain options

Mechanically, the X3 20 petrol is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 206bhp and 310Nm of torque, while the diesel X3 20d delivers 197bhp and 400Nm of torque. Both models come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The model accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 242 km/h.
BMW has decided not to offer the six-cylinder 30d in India, but the high-performance M50 version is expected to be launched in limited numbers until 2025.

New BMW X3: features, competitors

The interior follows design trends seen in other recent BMW models and has been completely revamped, including a seamlessly integrated 14.9-inch infotainment display and 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. The system uses BMW’s latest iDrive technology with QuickSelect and Operating System 9 for improved ease of use. This version allows video streaming, audio and in-car gaming applications, as well as 3D and satellite views in the navigation system.
