Bharat Mobile Expo 2025: Yamaha Lander 250 Dual Sport

Yamaha India has showcased the Lander XTZ 250, an adventure/off-road motorcycle at the Bharat Mobile Expo 2025. The Yamaha Lander was previously tested on Indian roads and the bike is currently on sale in the South American market. Although an official launch in India has not been announced yet, the growing demand for adventure bikes suggests a future launch may be in the cards. If launched, it is expected to be priced between Rs. 1.80 Lakhs 2.1 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

The Yamaha Lander 250 has a simple design with a centrally mounted projector LED headlight. Other key features include high front fenders, extended fuel tank guards, one-piece seats and an upswept exhaust system.

Yamaha Lander 250: Details

The Yamaha Lander 250 is powered by a 249cc air-cooled engine that produces 20 hp and 20 Nm of torque, the same engine used in the discontinued FZ-25. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The drivetrain is mounted in a twin-bracket frame.

The bike features telescopic front forks (220 mm travel) and mono-shock rear suspension (204 mm travel) to handle all terrains. It has single disc brakes at both ends and comes with ABS for added safety.

The Lander 250 features a smartphone-connectable LCD display, offering convenience and modern functionality. With a wet weight of 160kg and a fuel tank capacity of 13.6 liters, the performance is well balanced.

After the FZ-25 is discontinued, the Lander 250 can fill the gap in Yamaha’s 250cc series in India. If launched, it will compete with the upcoming Hero XPulse 210.

Bharat Mobile Expo 2025: Yamaha Tenere 700 showcased

Yamaha India also showcased the Tenere 700 adventure motorcycle at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The adventure motorcycle is expected to be launched in India in October 2025 and will be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).

The Tenere 700 is powered by a 689cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 73.4 horsepower and 68Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It has 21-inch front wheels and 18-inch rear spoked wheels for strong off-road performance. The Tenere 700 is equipped with a 16-liter fuel tank and is designed for long-distance riding. The bike weighs 211kg and offers a good balance of power and weight.
