Bharat Mobility Expo 2025: At the ongoing expo, TVS Motor Company showcased its latest innovation, the Jupiter CNG scooter, marking a major step towards sustainable mobility. This eco-friendly scooter combines the convenience of CNG with the performance and reliability the Jupiter range is known for. Jupiter CNG is designed to meet the growing demand for green mobility solutions, delivering impressive fuel efficiency and reducing carbon emissions, in line with India’s push for cleaner transportation options. The scooter comes with several advanced features such as LED headlight, semi-digital speedometer and TVS’s IntelliGO start-stop technology. With this launch, TVS is expected to lead the trend in the emerging CNG-powered motorcycle market and provide a practical, cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fuel-powered motorcycles.
TVS Jupiter CNG: Technical specifications
The Jupiter CNG scooter is powered by a 124.8cc single-cylinder engine that produces 7.10bhp at 6,000rpm and 9.4Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. That’s slightly less power than the petrol-powered Jupiter 125, which produces 8.1 hp and 10.5 Nm. Therefore, the performance of the CNG version is expected to be slower with a top speed of 80.5 km/h, as claimed by the two-wheeler manufacturer.

TVS claims that the scooter has a range of 226 km. The mileage is 84 km/kg and the running cost is less than Rs 1/km. Additionally, placing the fuel tank under the seat eliminates the possibility of any storage in that space. The Jupiter CNG lacks the 33-litre luggage space of the petrol-powered Jupiter 125, which is the largest of its kind among petrol-powered scooters.
TVS Jupiter CNG: Expected Price
The Jupiter 125 is currently priced in a price range of Rs 79,540 to Rs 90,720, depending on the variant chosen. Considering the additional features and technologies integrated in the new CNG version, the price is expected to be positioned in this range. The CNG model is expected to retail in the range of Rs 90,000 to Rs 99,000, which is comparable to the cost of the top-end model.
