The 313cc liquid-cooled engine of the BMW G 310 GS can output 33.52 horsepower and 28 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and weighs 175 kg.
Leveraging on the powerful 310cc platform, BMW Motorrad and TVS Motor have entered into a strategic partnership to share technology and other elements. Through this partnership, BMW has managed to enter a price range it has never entered before.
BMW has launched three motorcycles based on this platform, manufactured by TVS Motor. These include the G 310 R streetfighter motorcycle, the G 310 RR super sports motorcycle and the G 310 GS adventure touring motorcycle. It looks like BMW Motorrad dealers will be offering significant discounts on the G 310 GS at the end of 2024. Let’s take a look.
BMW G 310 GS year-end offer
The prospect of a high-performance single-cylinder adventure tourer is attractive. Many OEMs have tried their luck in this area, including BMW Motorrad. The BMW G 310 GS competes with more powerful and feature-rich rivals such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure.
BMW Motorrad has announced price increases for its product portfolio from January 1, 2025. With just a few days left for 2024, several BMW Motorrad dealers across India are already offering attractive year-end discounts to attract buyers and clear unsold inventory.
For the BMW G 310 GS, the year-end discount is up to Rs 50,000 OTR (on-road, including RTO tax and insurance). Therefore, these year-end discounts are intended to reduce OTR costs and are not offered on Ex-sh prices. Talking about the Ex-sh price, the BMW G 310 GS is priced at Rs 3.30 lakh for the standard fully loaded variant.
So, if you are like me and come from the tax-heavy state of Karnataka, you can buy a BMW G 310 GS for around Rs 3.5 lakh (OTR) and Rs 3.70 lakh (OTR), including year-end discounts. These discounts and color options are subject to dealer availability, you are still advised to visit your nearest dealer for accurate pricing.
