Dacia Sandero remains the best-selling car
In other news, the internal combustion engine version of the Dacia Sandero remained Europe’s best-selling car, with sales of 22,400 units in July, up 34%. It was followed by the Volkswagen T-Roc and Toyota Yaris Cross subcompact SUVs, while the Dacia Duster came in fourth.
In terms of brand sales, Volkswagen ranked first in the market with sales of 108,959 units, followed by Toyota (75,338 units) and BMW (64,012 units).
Not surprisingly, SUVs continue to grow in popularity. In July 2024, SUVs accounted for a record 54% of all car registrations in Europe, with five of the top ten best-selling models being SUVs.
