- A nearly unused 1993 Camaro Z28 with only 89 miles on the clock is currently listed for $25,000.
- This Chevrolet coupe is priced at $13,500 in 2020 and $16,000 in 2018.
- General Motors’ 1993 5.7-liter LT1 V8 engine produced 275 horsepower and was paired with a four-speed automatic transmission.
Chevrolet produced more than 39,000 third-generation “Catfish” Camaros in 1993, so they’re not hard to come by. But a ’93 Z28 with less than 100 miles (161 kilometers) on the odometer is extremely rare and possibly one-of-a-kind, and this is your chance to take it home. again.

The black Z28 seen here is for sale at Ray Skillman Classic Cars in Greenwood, Indiana, for $25,000, which seems like it considering someone paid $170,000 last month for a Honda S2000 CR with 130 miles (209 km) Very good deal. Of course, the CR is limited to 699 units and therefore more collectible, but the price gap is huge.

In 2020, it was listed on the Bring-a-Trailer auction site with 43 miles (69 kilometers) and sold for just $13,500. Even a new Mitsubishi Mirage costs $15,000 in 2020. Prior to this, in 2018, it was auctioned by RM Sotheby’s, where it sold for $16,000 when the odometer showed 29 miles (47 kilometers).
Ray Skillman The current ad is short on details, but the old Bring-a-Trailer listing explains that it was originally delivered to Dobler Chevrolet in Hempstead, NY, and came with a factory Delco-Bose stereo system and the Z28 Preferred Equipment Group# 2, which includes air conditioning, cruise control, remote hatch release, power functions and leather for the steering wheel rim and gear selector.
GM’s 5.7-liter LT1 engine was a performance hero in 1993, although its power figures are unmatched by today’s 2.0-liter hatchbacks. The V8 develops 275 hp (279 PS) and 325 lb-ft (441 Nm) of torque, which the first owner chose to send to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission instead of the existing six-speed manual.
The stereo, Group 2 option package, automatic transmission and other goodies (including a high-performance rear axle ratio and a six-way power driver’s seat) push the Z28’s price from $16,779 to $21,075.
As you’d expect considering the mileage, the interior looks perfect, as does much of the underside. But the driveshaft and rear axle have surface corrosion that the next owner may want to restore at the expense of some originality.
How much are you willing to spend on this classic Z28? What will you do with it?
