Brooklyn man stole a tow truck to save his Chevy, but it ended up

A crazy road rage incident occurred in Brooklyn, New York on Friday morning when a tow truck driver tried to tow a Chevrolet Silverado. Another man, who appeared to be the owner of the pickup truck, disagreed. After an argument with the towing professionals, the Chevrolet owner jumped on the tow truck, leaving a mess behind.

The incident occurred at 53rd Street, between First and Second Avenues in Brooklyn, around 11 a.m. Apparently, the Chevrolet parked on the side of the road blocked the maintenance door, causing a tow truck to come and tow it away. The on-site video shows that the tow truck driver and the Chevrolet owner began to have an argument.

At this point, the Silverado was already halfway off the ground, but the tow truck driver did nothing to secure it to the trailer. He stopped working when the Chevrolet owner confronted him, threatened him, and at one point shoved him. The Chevrolet owner then jumped into the front seat of the tow truck and began to drive away.

In his rampage, he seemed to forget that the Silverado’s driver’s side door was still open. As he drove off, the door struck a parked car and flipped backwards. Then, as the trailer continued down the road, that open door struck and damaged several other vehicles on the same road. To make matters worse, when the man turned a corner, his pickup truck completely fell off the trailer.

Instead of stopping, the man continued to drive the tractor-trailer, eventually crashing into a city bus, before allegedly fleeing on foot. Police are still investigating, News 12 reported.

As of this writing, the NYPD has not made any statement on the matter and all indications are that the man who drove away is still missing. We feel like he left behind too much evidence, especially a Chevy Silverado, to get away with it.
