What is impressive is that the scale of the Canton Fair continues to expand, with the number of products soaring by 300% compared with the 135th Canton Fair, and the number of green and low-carbon products increasing by 130% compared with the previous session. In addition to live events, the expo will promote the brand globally through dedicated product launches and live broadcasts. Exhibitors also publish their products online, with 800,000 product displays uploaded and virtual product displays attracting 343,000 users.
A highlight of the exhibition is the International Pavilion, which hosts a trade matching event for the first time this year. Ten exhibitors from Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Egypt and other countries were invited to display their products to 85 Chinese domestic buyers. On-site buyers went to the exhibitors’ booths to view the products and arrange purchases.
He Weiwen, a senior researcher at the China and Globalization Think Tank, told the Global Times that the strong performance at the Canton Fair proves that global demand for Chinese products remains strong. “The increasing number of international buyers at the Canton Fair shows that China’s economy has been deeply integrated with the global economy and exports are still competitive,” he said.
