When you invite 300 people to showcase the company’s latest products, you have to make an impact.
This is what French automaker Renault did when he collaborated with MH Atlantic Hotel in Peniche, Portugal with European event producer Europalco, with the 2024 Renault Group’s annual Renault Group Conference with an attractive, immersive way to show the company’s cars.
Europalco last created an event for automakers, which was in 2019, with its Clio R-Evolution show – many years later, there are more event parts and event features to participate. Design elements, such as the central stage entrance (think fashion runway,,,,, But for cars), automation features such as LED walls and moving tracks with automatic horizontal motion and robotic lighting.

LED walls have two uses. Aside from the visual elements, behind the wall is a storage area where cars await their debut. “When each reveal moment arrives, the car is moved to an open area for interesting and coordinated visual dynamics,” explains Magalhaes. “Certainly moving the car with a robotic system,” he said.–And synchronize with the LED panel effect–Helps create a modern and innovative atmosphere, giving the audience a high-tech feel in action. ”

tHis company wants to try Integrate these automation functionspave the way for future development-but Also provided solutions to the problem.
“Ideas of stage design and automation capabilities, such as horizontal motion tracks and robotic lighting, come from (how) revealing the challenges of various vehicles to different populations,” said Pedro Magalhaes, CEO of Europalco. “The solution is to create a space that can hide the car, thus making dynamic and surprising revelations. Moving tracks play a crucial role in creating this effect, allowing the vehicle to appear smoothly and significantly.”
Robotics plays a key role in promoting Renault’s news, while Eurobaco hopes to pass. “The concept is to connect events with futuristic and technical ideas, and automated lighting combines precise movements to help create this atmosphere,” Magalhaes said. “Robot technology not only enhances the visual effect, but also ensures moments.” The smooth and immersive transition between them makes the audience’s overall experience more attractive.”
Technology and robotics may be related to futuristic ideas, but the design layout of events is Don’t be underestimated; Immersive experience. Europalco’s central stage design plays an integral role in how attendees experience the event. “One of the key points is the structure of the booth on the platform, which allows the audience to have a 180-degree view to ensure everyone can move up close without blind spots,” Magalhaes said. “This makes the experience more inclusive, Make everyone feel part of the moment.”
Solve the problem before solving it
“One of the key lessons we learned from this year’s Renault Group Conference production is the importance of every detail of the expected event,” Magalhaes said.

From the outset, European teams conducted technical visits, allowing them to measure space and analyze infrastructure. They then developed a 3D model of the site and created the necessary technical drawings for woodworking and production. This approach helps identify potential problems before they arise, thus making logistics and production smoother, Magalhaes said.
“Since the event has a strong hotel in the event market, the priority is to measure the space of the 3D design along with all the exact floor plans and dimensions,” he said. “This process follows regularly all the venues we work with, Make sure we have a clear understanding of the space and its limitations. This way, we can concentrate our experience and optimize the work in different departments, ensuring smoother execution without unexpected problems.”
