But it could be an asset, said Kristin Delahunt, vice president of destination services, at the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB). Her conference and event career began with her working at Maritz Global Events in St. Louis, Missouri, and served as Travel Director in 1998, where she planned to operate. In this position, she travels at global operating company conferences and inspires travel for groups of all sizes. After five years of extensive travel and relocation to Atlanta, Draton seeks a fast-paced, diverse industry role. Record gold inventories in the United States under the influence of tariffs
During tariff-related activities, a large number of gold bars poured into the country, amassing a lot of gold in U.S. exchange warehouses. According to a recent report, the inventory presence in Comex Bourse in New York hit a historic 39.7 million ounces on Wednesday, marking the data’s highest level in 1992 (source). The stock has been worth about $115 billion since early December, more than doubled as traders take advantage of profitable arbitrage opportunities for rising U.S. gold prices rather than international benchmarks. Also read: Gold prices hit record high scores due to rising tariff issues Initially, the significant premium between New York futures and the regular London spot market was caused by issues involving possible gold in a comprehensive tariff measure under the Trump administration. As a result, traders were motivated to liquidate short-term positions on COMEX, which significantly increased spot prices in London, thereby driving gold to the United States.
