Xiaomi, a well-known smartphone and consumer electronics maker, just laughed at the second car after the SU7. This is their first attempt at an SUV body style. The company’s CEO Lei Jun mocked the Xiaomi Yu7, which is our first study of Xiaomi’s electric SUV.
Xiaomi Yu7 electric SUV
After creating a huge wave in the smartphone and consumer electronics industries, Xiaomi has turned its sights to the automotive industry. The company’s Virgin Car SU7 achieved a huge wonder at launch, and it even became the safest car in China ever by getting the highest rating in C-NCAP.

Even though Xiaomi is young in the automotive industry, the company is still trying to prove that they mean business. After presenting the first car of all time, the method of showing their engineering and manufacturing capabilities is better demonstrated than revealing the second car.
The Xiaomi Yu7 is a large electric SUV with a length of 4,999 mm, a width of 1,996 mm, a height of 1,608 mm, and a long wheelbase of 3,000 mm. In terms of design, the Xiaomi Yu7 looks a lot like the SUV version of the SU7, with a similar design language. This is not a bad thing considering that the Su7 is a handsome machine.

The Yu7 looks slightly bulbous and comes with a similar LED headlight setup with a similar LED DRL signature. It has a work of curved panel metal and is equipped with a glossy black element around the vehicle. The wheel arch cladding has an interesting design, and the large alloy wheels look pretty good. If this isn’t your jam, Xiaomi will offer 26 wheel designs.
Powertrain options
There is a roof-mounted bulb that can accommodate LiDAR and other sensors, similar to the SU7. In the profile, Xiaomi Yu7 looks strong but elegant, and the fusion between these two characters is done in the right way. The interior of this car has not been revealed yet, and we hope it has a lot of similarities to the SU7.

Powering the vehicle are multiple battery pack options across the entire price range. Xiaomi has not shown the battery size yet. Performance indicators have been eliminated. The basic variant will get a 315 bhp motor on the rear axle. The top version will pack a 295 bhp front motor and a 376 bhp rear motor, with a total system output of about 681 bhp. The expected starting price is CNY 300K (approximately Rs 34 lakh) and may be held in June or July 2025.
