Clear-Com® successfully delivered a high-capacity, secure communications network during Zurich Street Parade 2024, one of the world’s largest techno music festivals. Clear-Com partnered with MGM Audio AG to provide critical communications tools that helped ensure real-time coordination and operational security throughout the event, which attracted more than 920,000 attendees.
The street march, taking place on August 10, 2024, spans the center of Zurich and poses unique challenges for communication over large, densely populated areas. Known for its IP-based functionality, strong signal integrity and flexibility, Clear-Com’s Gen-IC® virtual intercom system was deployed to support reliable communications for teams stationed throughout the city.

Gen-IC plays a key role in facilitating tactical coordination, including the ability to issue real-time announcements and updates via loudspeaker trucks over distances of up to 5.5 kilometers. This ensures smooth communication between units located in different locations in an urban environment.
The system is rigorously tested in both lab and field settings, using Peplink routers for load testing to ensure consistent connectivity during high traffic events. Clear-Com’s Agent-IC® mobile application is also used, allowing users to communicate securely from remote or mobile locations, improving coordination and situational awareness.
Alexander Hemme, Regional Sales Manager at Clear-Com, commented: “Our solutions are designed for large-scale public safety applications where seamless communications are critical. This deployment demonstrates the power of Clear-Com technology to support complex, high-density incidents adaptability and reliability.”
Cyril Schmuki of MGM Audio AG added: “Clear-Com’s solution provides the flexibility and reliability needed to effectively manage communications during this large-scale event, ensuring smooth coordination throughout the day.”
