The Korean automaker’s mid-size SUV, the Kia Seltos, is scheduled to be refreshed in 2025. The new model has entered testing, and we first spotted a heavily camouflaged test mule of it last week. New images have surfaced online, revealing more details about the new 2025 Kia Seltos.
The design of this mid-size SUV may be inspired by the Kia EV5 SUV sold globally, including newly designed square headlights, vertically placed daytime running lights and LED taillights. The front grille will be slightly modified and will be rectangular in shape with vertical slats. Fresh spy shots showcase its newly designed alloy wheels and advanced LED turn signals.

Internal details are unclear at this time. However, there is widespread speculation that the new Kia Seltos may have an interior layout similar to the EV3. Most features will be carried over from the current generation, including 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, wireless smartphone connectivity, front ventilated seats, 8-speaker Bose sound system, 8-way power driver’s seat , ADAS package, electric parking brake with auto-hold function, 360-degree camera and more.
The biggest updates are expected to happen behind the scenes. According to reports, the new 2025 Kia Seltos will be equipped with a 1.6L hybrid system that can output 141 horsepower. The Seltos hybrid may also come with an AWD (all-wheel drive) system. The five existing engine-gearbox combinations will continue to be offered: a 115 bhp/144 Nm 1.5L petrol engine with a 6-speed manual and CVT automatic, and a 116 bhp/250 Nm 1.5L turbodiesel with 6 Speed iMT and gearbox. The exact launch date and details of the new Kia Seltos are yet to be announced. However, the SUV may be launched in the second half of 2025, possibly around Diwali. In the mid-size SUV segment, it will continue to compete with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Tata Curvv and Toyota Hyryder.
