
Support environmental nonprofits hope that federal transport authority will hand over licenses for trucks without EU type approval to data

President Donald Trump recently complained that Europe has not bought enough American cars. Now, the German Consumer Association is tasked with making it harder for some American vehicles to enter their own national roads.

Environmental Action by the Nonprofit Environmental and Consumer Protection Association Germany (DUH) believes that full-size American trucks are too big, too dirty and too dangerous, and have filed a lawsuit against the German Federal Automobile Transport Agency (KBA) to force it to release information about trucks operating in the United States.
Why American pickup trucks are
Unlike smaller American vehicles like Ford Mustang and Cadillaclyiq, large (European-sensitive) trucks like Ford F Series, various RAM models and similar pickup trucks do not comply with EU-type approved regulations, such as Ford Mustang and Cadillac Lyriq.
Duh said they emitted nine times more carbon dioxide particles than those in the conventional euro market and were not usually equipped with mandatory safety systems in the region. They are perfect on certain European roads and generally not suitable in European parking lots at all when they are up to 6.8 m (266 inches) long and 2.7 m (106 inches) wide.

Each example imported into Europe must be approved separately, and DUH is concerned that 80% of the 4,025 registrations in 27 EU countries in 2023 were conducted in Germany. Although the Stelantis Pickup involved nearly 3,000 trucks in the 2023 U.S. new vehicle sales list, the Stanlantis Pickup is only third in the Chevy Silverado and Ford F-Series.
DUH had previously asked KBA to provide information about the personal approval of XXL trucks, but it refused to comply with Greenies’ business escalation and brought the transport agency to the court to force it to release the requested data, citing the Environmental Information Act.

Trucks are allowed to skip the type approval registry, “accepting huge losses from serious traffic accidents and increasing the risk of serious traffic accidents”.
Resch and DUH called on the German government to apply for huge taxes and parking restrictions to limit truck appeals and reduce the number of entry into the country.
