Da Chan Bay Terminal expands routes to the Middle East

Da Chan Bay Terminal has strengthened its Middle East network, launching a new direct service on November 5 to provide fast and efficient logistics between South China and the Middle East. The new service, jointly operated by ESL, Global Feeder Shipping, KMTC and TS Lines under the service code SMX/AIM3, aims to provide importers and exporters with reliable, cost-effective shipping options.

In addition to this new service, existing GLX/GALEX/AIM routes operated by ESL, Global Feeder Shipping and KMTC are also supported, with Ocean Network Express (ONE) also joining the line-up with service code GLX. Together, these enhancements provide faster transit times, wider Middle East coverage, and increased service frequency.

Brian Yeung, managing director of Dachan Bay Terminals, expressed his enthusiasm, stating: “We are delighted to be the port of choice for these Middle East services, providing exporters with greater access to emerging markets.”

The new route includes five ships, each with a capacity of 3,000 to 4,400 TEUs, calling at Da Chan Bay – Port Klang – Jebel Ali – Hamad – Nansha – Da Chan Bay. Meanwhile, the enhanced service has deployed seven ships with a capacity between 6,600 and 8,500 TEU on the revised route of DaChan Bay-Port Klang-Jebel Ali-Daman-Bahrain-Busan-Qingdao-Xiamen-DaChan Bay. ships between.

The expansion highlights DaChan Bay Terminal’s commitment to supporting trade flows between southern China and key markets in the Middle East, benefiting importers and exporters with greater flexibility and speed.
