The Dacia Bigster has made its global debut. First launched as a concept in 2021, it is expected to be launched in India as the Renault Duster to cater to the growing demand for spacious SUVs. The Bigster and Duster will share many components, including body panels, dashboard, seats and other mechanical components. While official engine options are yet to be confirmed, it is likely to feature the same 1.2-litre and 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engines for a balance of performance and efficiency. Its design, features and versatility are expected to have strong appeal among Indian families looking for comfort, space and functionality.
Renault Bigster: appearance
The Dacia Bigster combines stylish design with powerful off-road style. Its front resembles that of the Dacia Duster, with sharp LED headlights and Y-shaped accents. Unlike the Duster, the Bigster gets rid of the plastic cladding on the lower grille for a cleaner look. The fog lights are integrated into the bumper, and a silver skid plate adds to its rugged feel.

Viewed from the side, the Bigster sports up to 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels, hexagonal wheel arches and black body cladding. The turn signals are built into the rearview mirror and the rear door handles are located on the C-pillar. Silver roof rails and an optional black roof add style and versatility. At the rear, V-shaped LED taillights, “Dacia” lettering, carbon fiber strips and a strong rear bumper with a lighter skid plate complete the bold design.
Renault Bigster: interior and features
The Dacia Bigster offers a modern, eco-friendly interior with a stylish two-tone gray and black design. Its layout is similar to the Duster, with a 10.1-inch driver-focused touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster. A premium sound system, panoramic sunroof and dual-zone climate control enhance comfort and convenience.
The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable with manual lumbar support, and the center armrest includes cooling storage, charging options and rear AC vents. The second-row bench seats feature a 40:20:40 split for flexibility, and all seats have adjustable head restraints. The middle seat also folds up to serve as an armrest with cup holders.
